NEW WORDS
1.두근두근 pit-a-pat, palpitating, throbbing, pounding. 두근 means "head muscle"
2.마음 mind, heat; feeling
3.안다 hug, hold, cuddle, embrace
4.기다리다 wait, hold on, hang on, expect, await; look forward to
5.흰눈 White snow. 흰 means "white" and 눈 means "snow"
6.펑펑 gushing, flowing freely; thick and fast; heavily

8.잊다 forget; be unaware of; put[get] sb[sth] out of one's mind[head]
9.-지 마세요 Don't do sth. 말다 means "to quit doing, to not do, to stop doing". With polite ending -(으)세요 it becomes 마세요. To combine with other verbs and say “don’t do something", must add the suffix -지 after the verb stem, so becomes [verb stem]지 마세요. For more details please refer to TTMIK Level 2 Lesson 30.

19.성냥팔이 소녀 the gril from Hans Christian Andersen's short story "The Little Match Girl" published in 1845. 성냥 means "match". -팔이 means "a seller; a peddler; a hawker". 소녀 (少女) means "young/little girl"
20.코딱지 (American) booger - mucus or snot; a ghost or hobgoblin, used to frighten children and also known as boogerbear, boogerman, bogeyman or boogeyman
